Straps & Harnesses
Groin harness A positioning aid that, when correctly tensioned, provides maximum pelvic control and prevents the client from sliding forward in the seat.
Pelvic strap Keeps the clients pelvis firmly back in the seat, helping maintain a good sitting posture. Must be used under constant supervision and never as a restraint.
Chest harness Provides upper trunk support for clients who require lateral positioning where solid lateral supports are inappropriate. Also helps maintain an upright sitting position.
Padded pelvic strap As per standard pelvic strap with the addition of sub-ASIS pads to help reduce pressure on the bony prominences at the front of the pelvis.
4-point pelvic strap The most advanced pelvic strap incorporates a four point mounting system to help maintain the position of the main strap over the pelvis and beneath the abdomen.
Positioning Aids
Adjustable laterals The two pads can be adjusted horizontally and vertically to provide accurate thoracic support for clients who require positive lateral positioning.
Anterior knee strap Used with the pommel, the anterior knee strap blocks the front of the knees, pushing the pelvis into an upright position in the back of the seat.
Seat ramp Seat ramps create an acute hip angle to either break extensor spasm or keep the pelvis in the back of the seat.
Pommel Positioned on the front edge of the seat cushion, the pommel sits between the client's knees to abduct the thighs and help prevent the legs scissoring.
Headrests
Soft headrest The Dacron filled soft headrest is a simple, rectangular pillow which is available in two sizes, shallow or deep.
InLine Headrest The InLine headrest offers full cranial support, whilst the cut away sides ensure sight and hearing are unobstructed. The memory foam lining reduces the risk of pressure damage.
Profiled soft pillow headrest The soft, Dacron pillow has been contoured to fit the shoulders, neck and head to give a very comfortable and supportive head position.
