The HydroFlex combines simple design, easy set up and uncomplicated accessories with a comprehensive range of features. These features provide the flexibility to meet specific and often demanding positioning needs. The chair is extremely adaptable and can accommodate fluctuation conditions and changes in posture and functional requirements whilst remaining robust and user-friendly.

The chair's features include:

  • Back angle recline allows the chair to be set up to ensure correct hip positioning and then hidden for day to day use
  • Tilt-in-space means the client can be repositioned without destabilizing the pelvis. When combined with the articulating, elevating legrest, TiS provides the complete range of comfort and functional seating positions. This range of positions includes fully upright for mealtimes and rehabilitation programme activities and fully reclined for napping.
  • Secure thoracic positioning offered through either the deep laterally contoured backrest or the adjustable lateral supports lets the client concentrate on the finer movements required during rehabilitation.
  • The adjustability of the HydroFlex is complemented by a selection of accessories which enhance the posture management features of the chair. These range from a new type of pommel with optional anterior knee straps that discourages distal adduction to the innovative "InLine" headrest that encourages correct head positioning and helps to alleviate dysphagia. The InLine headrest also has viscoelastic foam and vapour permeable upholstery on all the contact areas for pressure management.
