HydroForm® Accessories
As every client is different, we have designed accessories which can cater for a whole range of needs and add comfort and security to our chairs. All of our accessories can be retro-fitted to our chairs, meaning that should a client’s condition change over the course of time, we are able to adapt the chair in line with new requirements.
Straps & Harnesses
Groin harness A positioning aid that, when correctly tensioned, provides maximum pelvic control and prevents the client from sliding forward in the seat.
Pelvic strap Keeps the clients pelvis firmly back in the seat, helping maintain a good sitting posture. Must be used under constant supervision and never as a restraint.
Chest harness Provides upper trunk support for clients who require lateral positioning where solid lateral supports are inappropriate. Also helps maintain an upright sitting position.
Padded pelvic strap As per standard pelvic strap with the addition of sub-ASIS pads to help reduce pressure on the bony prominences at the front of the pelvis.
Positioning Aids
Seat ramp Seat ramps create an acute hip angle to either break extensor spasm or keep the pelvis in the back of the seat.
Footplates and Legrests
Sliding footplate Supports the client’s feet off the floor when being portered, sliding completely out of the way when not in use. The footplate also provides further seat height reduction.
Fixed height block legrest The solid block legrest has Reflexions® foam upholstery for pressure management, four castors and can be attached to the chair for extra security.
Height adjustable legrest The legrest can be set up to match the height setting of the chair. The fixed angle, Reflexions® foam pad supports the legs in a comfortable position.
Headrests
Soft headrest The Dacron filled soft headrest is a simple, rectangular pillow which is available in two sizes, shallow or deep.
