CareFlex introduce "The Magnus" part of the Doge Collection Range of Chairs.

This specialist riser recliner chair has been designed specifically for bariatric patients.

The chair has a 450kg (70 stone) weight capacity and an 80 or 90cm seat width.

The Magnus provides a comfortable seating solution which encourages the client to stay out of bed for longer periods and helps to remove the obstacles to mobilisation and therapy.

Tilt-in-Space allows the client’s posture to be easily adjusted.

The rise, recline, Tilt-in-Space and legrest elevation are all controlled by a touch of a button on the easy to use handset.

CareFlex get Fantastic Feedback from COT!

At this year’s College of Occupational Therapists’ annual conference CareFlex held two workshops about pressure management and specialist seating and we are delighted that both workshops received nothing but positive feedback.

Comments such as: “Presenter was fantastic! Very knowledgeable”, “Interesting and useful information, well rounded” and “Right information given, right pace, good illustrations” amongst many others were recently published by the COT from the delegate feedback they received.

Over 50 healthcare professionals attended the two sessions at the Manchester conference - one workshop was presented by Fiona Collins MSc Dip COT titled “Managing Pressure and Postural Problems”, the other discussed pressure mapping and the important elements of pressure management and was presented by CareFlex’s Design & Development Engineer Graham Jones.

The three day conference proved to be incredibly successful for CareFlex this year. Steve Preston, Keith McAllister, Ruth Hammond and John Barklamb manned the exhibition stand and enticed over a quarter of all the visitors to enter the free prize draw for a hamper of delicious Westcountry products. Everyone who came to the workshops also received a free CareFlex goody bag that was filled with a variety of items including a leaflet that detailed the important information from the workshop and some treats to help keep their energy levels up which were very gratefully received!
